Beginner Chess Classes

Learn chess from zero — rules, piece movement, checkmate patterns and your first real games — with a coach who explains every step.

Our beginner course is built for complete newcomers, both children and adults. You will learn how each piece moves, the special rules (castling, en passant, promotion), how to deliver checkmate, and the opening principles that stop you losing early.

By the end of the beginner level, students can play a full game with correct notation, solve simple tactics and are ready for our intermediate batch. Want a head start? Read our free chess rules guide.

Frequently asked questions

Can I learn chess with no experience at all?

Yes. The beginner level starts from setting up the board and how the pieces move.

How long does it take to learn chess?

Most beginners learn all the rules within a few classes. Becoming a confident club player usually takes several months of regular practice with a coach.

Are beginner classes online or offline?
